Pedestrian Accidents

An at-fault driver struck a 92-year-old client walking in a marked crosswalk in a commercial parking lot.  The impact knocked the client to the ground, and caused immediate and visible injuries to her lower legs.

Emergency personnel transported the client by ambulance to the emergency department with large skin tears in two locations on her right lower leg and left ankle pain. Medical staff performed emergency debridement on the tears. The client endured a long, painful recovery and attended multiple wound-care visits for repeated dressing changes, compression therapy, and infection monitoring. Even after healing, the client continued to experience intermittent pain and ongoing sensitivity in the affected areas.

Paul sent a comprehensive demand letter to the at-fault driver’s insurance establishing fault and damages, including visually graphic images. The insurance company settled the client’s case for a significant sum.
